Steve Waterworth was a 2012 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 18th Congressional District of Illinois. Waterworth defeated Matt Woodmancy in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012, and was defeated by incumbent Aaron Schock (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012..[1]

Waterworth lost to incumbent Aaron Schock in the general election.[2] Waterworth ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Illinois' 18th District. Waterworth ran on the Democratic ticket.[3] The signature filing deadline was December 27, 2011, and the primary took place on March 20, 2012. Incumbent Aaron Schock sought re-election on the Republican ticket.

Waterworth defeated Matt Woodmancy in the Democratic primary on March 20, 2012.[1] Incumbent Aaron Schock ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Schock then defeated Waterworth in the general election on November 6, 2012.
