The city of Irving, Texas, held elections for city council on May 9, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 27, 2015. Three of the eight city council seats were up for election.[2] In the race for the at-large place 8 seat, David Palmer defeated incumbent Thomas D. Spink.[3][4]
