William G. Ford is a judge for the 2nd Department of the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division. He assumed office on June 1, 2021. His current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Ford was appointed to the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division by Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) on May 25, 2021, effective June 1, 2021.[1]
He also served as a judge for the Suffolk County District Court from 2009 to 2014.[2] He was elected to the district court in 2008 and was sworn into office on January 5, 2009. He was defeated in his bid for re-election in 2014.[3][4][5][6]
Education
Ford received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Empire State College and his J.D. degree from the Brooklyn Law School.[5]
