Kimberley Strassel is a journalist for The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and serves on the editorial board for the WSJ. She was awarded the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation's Bradley Prize in 2014 for journalistic excellence.[1]
Biography
Kimberley Strassel earned a bachelor's degree in public policy and international affairs from Princeton University.[1] Strassel began her journalism career working in Brussels for The Wall Street Journal in 1994. After Brussels, she spent four years in London reporting on technology for the WSJ Europe.[2]Strassel began working on the editorial page as the assistant editorial features editor in 1999.[2] In 2005, Strassel joined the WSJ editorial board.[2] In 2007, she began working on the Potomac Watch, a podcast for the WSJ, which Strassel co-hosts.[3]
Strassel was awarded the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation's Bradley Prize in 2014 for journalistic excellence.[1]
Work and activities
Wall Street Journal
Strassel joined The Wall Street Journal in 1994. She worked in the news department in Brussels and London before moving to New York and becoming an editor and later an editorial writer. As of 2025, Strassel writes a newsletter, All Things with Kim Strassel and hosts a podcast by the same name.[2] Strassel is also a co-host for the newspaper's weekly podcast Potomac Watch, along with other opinion writers Paul Gigot, Bill McGurn and Kyle Peterson.[4]
Preisdential debate moderation
On February 9, 2016, CBS News announced that it would host the ninth Republican presidential primary debate on February 13, 2016. The debate was moderated by Kimberley Strassel, John Dickerson and CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Major Garrett. The debate took place in Greenville, S.C.[5]
