A Grand Rapids Charter Amendment measure was on the May 4, 2010 ballot in the city of Grand Rapids which is in Kent County.
This measure was approved
- YES 12,485
- NO 6,202[1]
This measure sought to get rid of the provision that requires city workers to work an eight hour day.[2] Elected officials, contract workers, fire and police officers will not fall under this amendment change. This will allow the city to set the work day hours at their own discretion.[3]
