Lansing, Michigan, Amend the City Charter Measure (2025):

A "yes" vote supports amending the Lansing City Charter to:

  • increase the size of the city council from 8 to nine members;
  • permit the city council to remove the city attorney; 
  • require the mayor to present a strategic plan for their term of office;
  • hold city elections every four years, as opposed to every two years, and schedule all city office elections on the same date; 
  • create an online tax and debt dashboard for financial transparency; and 
  • make the internal auditor position independent from the city council and the mayor's office, among other changes.

A "no" vote opposes amending the Lansing City Charter.

Lansing, Michigan, Property Tax Renewal for Parks and Recreation System Measure (August 2025):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported renewing a one-mill property tax (equal to $100 per $100,000 of taxable value) for five years beginning July 1, 2026, to fund the operation, maintenance, and improvements of the city’s parks and recreation system.

A "no" vote opposed renewing a one-mill property tax (equal to $100 per $100,000 of taxable value) for five years beginning July 1, 2026, to fund the operation, maintenance, and improvements of the city’s parks and recreation system.

Ingham County, Michigan, Property Tax to Fund Services for Elderly Individuals Measure (August 2024):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported renewing a property tax at a rate of $30 per $100,000 of assessed property value to fund services for elderly individuals for four years (2024-2027).

A "no" vote opposed renewing a property tax at a rate of $30 per $100,000 of assessed property value to fund services for elderly individuals that expired in 2023.

Capital Area Transportation Authority, Michigan, Property Tax Renewal Measure (November 2024):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported renewing the millage of $298 per $100,000 in assessed value, to be used for public transportation purposes, generating an estimated $24.1 million in 2026.

A "no" vote opposed renewing the millage of $298 per $100,000 in assessed value, to be used for public transportation purposes, generating an estimated $24.1 million in 2026.

Ingham County, Michigan, Hotel Tax Measure (November 2024):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported increasing the county hotel tax from 5% to 8%.

Ingham County, Michigan, Property Tax for Housing Programs Measure (November 2024):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported increasing the millage by up to $50 per $100,000 in assessed value, for a period of four years, for the purposes of housing to low and moderate income families, and services to unhoused persons in the county, raising an estimated $5.61 million in the first year of the levy.

A "no" vote opposed increasing the millage by up to $50 per $100,000 in assessed value, for a period of four years, for the purposes of housing to low and moderate income families, and services to unhoused persons in the county, raising an estimated $5.61 million in the first year of the levy.

East Lansing, Michigan, Ballot Question 3, Ranked-Choice Voting Initiative (November 2023):  ✔
