A St. Clair fire levy was on the November 6, 2012 election ballot in Butler County, Ohio where it was approved.[1]

This measure renewed a levy for 0.5 mil for the purpose of maintaining fire protection and buildings for 5 years in the St. Clair Township.

Text of the Measure

Language on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of St. Clair Township (excluding the Villages of New Miami and Seven Mile) for the purpose of providing and maintaining fire apparatus, appliances, buildings, or sites therefor, or sources of water supply and materials therefor, or the establishment and maintenance of lines of fire alarm telegraph, or the payment of permanent, part-time, or volunteer firefighters or firefighting companies to operate the same at a rate not exceeding five-tenths (0.5) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to five cents ($0.05) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of five (5) years, commencing in 2013, first due in calendar year 2014.[2][3]
