Manuel Cruz was a Democratic candidate for Arizona Mine Inspector in the 2014 elections. Cruz did not make it to the primary ballot, having passed away from lung cancer on May 12, 2014.[1]
Cruz was a state Democratic Vice Chair. He worked as an explosives engineer.[2]

Cruz was running for election to the office of Arizona Mine Inspector until his passing in May 2014. Cruz would have sought the Democratic nomination in the primary on August 26, 2014, to challenge Republican incumbent Joe Hart in the general election.[3] The general election took place on November 4, 2014.
