Three of the seven seats on the Victoria Independent School District Board of Trustees were up for by-district general election on May 7, 2016. The seats of District 1 incumbent Kevin VanHook and District 7 incumbent Michael DiSanto did not appear on the ballot due to lack of opposition. Both incumbents were automatically re-elected to additional terms. The race for the open District 6 seat featured candidates Micah Hatley and Margaret Pruett. Pruett defeated Hatley to win a seat on the board. There was no primary.[1][2]
