Jim Zehringer is a former Ohio Director of Natural Resources. He was appointed to this position by Gov. John Kasich on November 15, 2011 and served until December 2018.[1]

Biography

Zehringer is the former owner and operator of Meiring Poultry and Fish Farm. He began his political career as a Mercer County Commissioner in 2002, staying in this position until he was appointed to the Ohio House of Representatives in 2007.

In 2010, he was appointed Ohio Director of Agriculture and in 2011 he was appointed as the Ohio Director of Natural Resources.[2] He served until 2018.

Education

Zehringer earned his diploma from Fort Recovery High School.[3]

Zehringer was appointed as Ohio Director of Natural Resources by Gov. John Kasich on November 15, 2011.[4] He served until December 2018.

Ohio Director of Agriculture (2011-2011)

Zehringer previously served as Ohio Director of Agriculture from January 2011 to November 2011.[2]

Ohio House of Representatives (2007-2010)

Zehringer was also a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives. He was appointed to serve as a representative in district 77 in 2007 and was elected by voters in 2008 and 2010.[5] He was replaced by Jim Buchy (R).[2]
