William G. Ford is a judge of the Supreme Court 10th Judicial District in New York. He was elected in the general election on November 3, 2015.[1]
He was previously a judge for the Suffolk County District Court from 2009 to 2014.[2] He was elected to the district court in 2008 and was sworn into office on January 5, 2009. He was defeated in his bid for re-election in 2014 and stepped down from the bench at the end of his last term in December 2014.[3][4][5][6] He first ran for the Suffolk County District Court in 2015, but was defeated in the primary. He then filed to run in the general election for the Supreme Court 10th Judicial District.[7][8]
Education
Ford received his undergraduate degree from SUNY Empire State College and his J.D. degree from the Brooklyn Law School.[5]
