Scott D. Woodward was a 2016 independent candidate for the Windsor District of the Vermont State Senate.

Woodward was also a 2014 Republican candidate for Windsor-4-1 District of the Vermont House of Representatives.[1]

Woodward received an undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. He earned a J.D. degree and Master's degree from Vermont Law School.

Woodward served in the United States Army from 1990-1995. He is a veteran of the Gulf War.

He is a volunteer at the Vermont Family Rules Committee and a member of the Patient-and-Family-Centered-Care Advisory Council at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.[2]

Woodward's professional experience includes working as an IT consultant and environmental attorney.[3][4]

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 12, 2014. Incumbent Teo Zagar was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Scott Woodward was unopposed in the Republican primary.[1][9][10][11] Zagar defeated Woodward in the general election.[12]
