Joseph S. Skocelas is a district court judge for the 57th District Court in Michigan. He was appointed to the bench on April 26, 2006, by former Governor Jennifer Granholm to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Gary A. Stewart. On November 4, 2014, Skocelas was re-elected unopposed for another six-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.
