Joseph S. Skocelas is a district court judge for the 57th District Court in Michigan.[1] He was appointed to the bench on April 26, 2006, by former Governor Jennifer Granholm to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Gary A. Stewart.[2] On November 4, 2014, Skocelas was re-elected unopposed for another six-year term commencing on January 1, 2015, and expiring on December 31, 2020.[3]
