Education

Martinez earned her undergraduate degree from Loyola University in Chicago and her J.D. from the Loyola University School of Law.[1]

Career

Prior to her judicial election, Martinez had been a trial attorney for 24 years. She also served as commissioner at the Illinois Court of Claims, where she presided over claims brought against the State of Illinois.[1]
