Lucindo Suarez is a justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court, Civil Term in the 12th Judicial District of New York. He was elected to the 1st District of the Supreme Court (New York County) in 1996 and was re-elected in 2009, this time to the 12th District (Bronx County). He has also served as the Statewide Coordinating Judge for Summary Jury Trials in New York since 2006.[1]

Education

Judge Suarez graduated from Fordham University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law.[1]

Career

Suarez became a New York City Civil Court Judge in 1994 and then a New York County Supreme Court Justice in 1996. His term on the Supreme Court ended in 2009 and he ran for re-election. Since 2006, he has been the Statewide Coordinating Judge for Summary Jury Trials. He has also worked as a private practice lawyer, has taught at local colleges, and has served as counsel to New York Senate and Assembly committees.[1][2]

2009 election

Suarez was elected to the 12th Judicial District in 2009. Five candidates ran for three seats.[3]
