I’m Rob Pasker, a Toledo native, real estate broker, and community leader committed to building stronger neighborhoods and economic opportunity in our city. I’ve spent years helping families achieve homeownership, advocating for fair housing, and supporting local businesses. As President of the Ohio Realtist Association and founder of Pasker Real Estate, I’ve led initiatives that create real impact for our residents. I’m running for City Council to bring practical solutions, accountability, and a proven record of leadership to our neighborhoods.
  • I fight for housing access and neighborhood revitalization, turning abandoned or underused properties into safe, affordable homes for Toledo families.
  • I create economic opportunities by supporting local small businesses, workforce development, and community-centered initiatives that strengthen families and neighborhoods.
  • I bring proven leadership, accountability, and results. From real estate to community programs, I deliver solutions that improve quality of life for all Toledo residents.
I’m passionate about housing access, neighborhood revitalization, economic development, workforce training, and policies that empower families and strengthen local communities. I focus on practical solutions that create lasting impact in Toledo.
City Council plays a unique role in bridging local needs with state laws and policies. While primarily focused on city governance, Council members ensure that local ordinances comply with state regulations and help implement state programs at the community level. The office holds legal authority over budgets, zoning, and public initiatives, giving residents a direct voice in how state policies affect their neighborhoods. This local oversight and ability to influence the quality of life make the office a vital part of the state’s governance system.
Integrity, accountability, and a commitment to results are essential. An elected official must listen to the community, act transparently, and make decisions that prioritize the longterm wellbeing of residents over short term interests. Leadership, collaboration, and a willingness to engage with all voices ensure policies are effective and equitable.
City Council members are responsible for representing their constituents, shaping policies, and ensuring city resources are used efficiently. They must advocate for housing access, neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and public safety while holding city departments accountable and ensuring the voices of residents are heard in every decision.
I want to leave a legacy of tangible community impact—neighborhoods revitalized, families empowered through homeownership, and opportunities created for residents to thrive. I hope to be remembered as a leader who turned ideas into results and lifted others along the way.
I remember 9/11 vividly. I was a freshman in high school, sitting in my second-period English class when the teacher rolled in a TV with the news broadcast. Seeing the events unfold was a formative moment that taught me the importance of resilience, community, and leadership in times of crisis.
I was a cashier and cart attendant at Target in the fall of my senior year of high school. It was my first job, and I worked there for a few months until it was time for winter track season. That experience taught me the value of hard work, responsibility, and serving the community—lessons that continue to guide me today.
City Council has the power to influence zoning, property redevelopment, and local economic initiatives—tools that directly shape neighborhoods and community growth. Council members also oversee city contracts and ensure transparency in government spending, which is often overlooked but critical for accountability.
Experience is helpful but not required. What matters most is a proven record of leadership, problem-solving, and community engagement. Real-world experience in business, housing, or civic initiatives provides practical insight that complements traditional political experience.
Strong communication, negotiation, and financial oversight skills are critical. Expertise in housing, economic development, and community engagement ensures that decisions are informed, strategic, and have lasting positive impact.
City Council serves as the direct link between residents and local government. It has the authority to pass ordinances, oversee budgets, and influence development projects that shape the character and growth of our neighborhoods. Council members are uniquely positioned to respond quickly to community needs and implement solutions that improve daily life for all residents.
I am proud to have founded the Greater Toledo Realtist Association. Building this organization from the ground up allowed me to create a platform that empowers local professionals, promotes homeownership, and strengthens our community. It’s a testament to what dedicated leadership and collaboration can achieve.
