• Cincinnati, Ohio, Issue 2, Public Safety Internship Program Incentive Charter Amendment (November 2025):

A "yes" vote supports amending the city charter to provide an incentive for participation in the city's public safety internship program by awarding five points in examination credit on city fire and police department entrance exams.

A "no" vote opposes amending the city charter to provide an incentive for participation in the city's public safety internship program by awarding five points in examination credit on city fire and police department entrance exams.

• Cincinnati, Ohio, Issue 3, Changes to Campaign Finance Reporting and Elections Commission Vacancies Charter Amendment (November 2025):

A "yes" vote supports amending the city charter to align local campaign finance reporting and deadlines with the state and provide for additional time to fill vacancies on the city's elections commission.

A "no" vote opposes amending the city charter to align local campaign finance reporting and deadlines with the state and provide for additional time to fill vacancies on the city's elections commission.

• Cincinnati City School District, Ohio, Issue 28, Levy Renewal Measure (November 2025):

A "yes" vote supports authorizing the district to renew a levy at a rate of $177 per $100,000 of assessed property value for 10 years beginning in 2026.

A "no" vote opposes authorizing the district to renew a levy at a rate of $177 per $100,000 of assessed property value for 10 years beginning in 2026.

• Hamilton County, Ohio, Issue 34, Parks and Recreation Tax Renewal Measure (November 2025):

A "yes" vote supports authorizing the county to renew a property tax at a rate of $22 per $100,000 of assessed property value to fund the Great Parks of Hamilton County for 10 years.

A "no" vote opposes authorizing the county to renew a property tax at a rate of $22 per $100,000 of assessed property value to fund the Great Parks of Hamilton County for 10 years.

• Delaware County District Library, Ohio, Tax Measure (May 2025):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported authorizing a new 1-mill property tax for library services, lasting 15 years, estimated at $35 per $100,000 of appraised value.

A "no" vote opposed authorizing a new 1-mill property tax for library services, lasting 15 years, estimated at $35 per $100,000 of appraised value.

• Groveport Madison Local School District, Ohio, Bond Measure (May 2025):  ✖

A "yes" vote supported authorizing the district to issue $70.625 million in bonds for school facilities, repaid over 37 years through a property tax levy estimated at $179 per $100,000 of appraised value.

A "no" vote opposed authorizing the district to issue $70.625 million in bonds for school facilities, repaid over 37 years through a property tax levy estimated at $179 per $100,000 of appraised value.

• Metropolitan Park District of the Toledo Area, Ohio, Issue 8, Replacement Tax Levy Measure (May 2025):  ✔

A "yes" vote supported replacing a 1.4-mill property tax levy to fund the operation, improvement, and conservation of area Metroparks, at a rate estimated at $49 per $100,000 of appraised value, for 10 years, beginning in 2025. The new levy would replace an existing 1.4-mill levy with three years remaining, currently costing $30 per $100,000.

A "no" vote opposed replacing a 1.4-mill property tax levy to fund the operation, improvement, and conservation of area Metroparks, at a rate estimated at $49 per $100,000 of appraised value, for 10 years, beginning in 2025. How to vote in Ohio

Poll times

In Ohio, all polling places are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Voters who are in line at 7:30 p.m. are permitted to vote.

Registration

To register to vote in Ohio, an applicant must be a United States citizen, a resident of Ohio for at least 30 days before the election, and at least 18 years old by the day of the election. Individuals who are incarcerated for a felony conviction, have been declared by a court to be incompetent for voting purposes, or have been permanently disenfranchised may not register to vote.

Applicants may register to vote online, in person, or by mail. The Ohio Voter Registration and Information Update Form is available online and can be requested by mail. In-person voter registration is available at various locations including the secretary of state and board of elections offices, Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles offices, public libraries and high schools, and other state agencies. The deadline to register to vote is 30 days before the next election. An Ohio driver’s license number, state ID card number, or the last four digits of a SSN is required in order to register to vote or update a voter registration.

Automatic registration

Ohio does not practice automatic voter registration.

Online registration

Ohio does not allow same-day voter registration.

Prospective voters must be residents of Ohio for at least 30 days before the election.

Verification of citizenship

Ohio requires those registering to vote or updating their voter registration information at a Bureau of Motor Vehicles facility to provide proof of citizenship before being allowed to do so. Individuals registering to vote in other settings do not have to provide proof of citizenship but must attest to their citizenship in a sworn statement.

All 49 states with voter registration systems require applicants to declare that they are U.S. citizens in order to register to vote in state and federal elections, under penalty of perjury or other punishment. Seven states — Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Hampshire, and Wyoming — have laws requiring verification of citizenship at the time of voter registration, whether in effect or not. One state, Ohio, requires proof of citizenship only when registering to vote at a Bureau of Motor Vehicles facility. In three states — California, Maryland, and Vermont — at least one local jurisdiction allows noncitizens to vote in some local elections. Noncitizens registering to vote in those elections must complete a voter registration application provided by the local jurisdiction and are not eligible to register as state or federal voters.
