Yolanda A. Tanner is an associate judge on the Eighth Circuit Court for Baltimore City in Maryland. She was appointed to the court by Governor Martin O'Malley on July 23, 2010 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Kaye A. Allison.[1][2] Tanner assumed office on August 27, 2010 and was elected to a full fifteen-year term in November 2012.[3][4]

Education

Tanner received her undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1980 and her J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1991.[3]

Career

2012 election

Tanner ran unopposed for election to her appointed seat on the Eighth Circuit Court.[5] She was successful in her bid, receiving 17.5% of the vote; the six candidates with the highest vote percentages were elected in the race.[6][7]
