As a public school teacher in Columbus City Schools and the parent of two children with special needs, I care deeply about the future of our district. A well-supported, strong public school system is one of the greatest strengths a community can have. I am running for school board because I believe decisions should be rooted in classrooms, not politics — and that our teachers, families, and students deserve leadership committed to transparency, equity, and putting kids first.
  • I believe in strong public schools that prioritize student success and achievement.
  • I believe board members should be engaged in both schools and the community.
  • I believe in fiscal responsibility and educational quality — because our kids deserve both.
Advocating for sustainable and ethical public school funding
Community involvement, sincere listening, transparency and enthusiasm
The core responsibility of a school board member is to advocate for strong public education by putting students first, supporting teachers and staff, and ensuring schools are safe and supportive. Board members must also be good stewards of taxpayer dollars, make transparent policy decisions, and keep the community’s trust by focusing on classrooms over politics. A vital part of this role is to develop a relationship of trust and communication with the community in order to facilitate a shared vision for the district and ensure every student has the opportunity to thrive.
I want to leave a legacy of strengthening public schools so every child, no matter their background or ability, has the resources to succeed. I hope people will remember that I put classrooms first, built trust in the community, and helped make Pickerington a place where both students and teachers can thrive.
The primary job of a school board member is to advocate for strong public education by putting students first, supporting teachers and staff, and making responsible, transparent decisions about how resources are used
I will continue to advocate for public education funding that is fair, ethical, and responsive to the needs of our community.
I will be a friendly and familiar face at a wide variety of school events across the district, showing up to listen and support. I will also continue to use social media as a tool to engage with the community, share information transparently, and keep families connected to what’s happening in our schools.
