The California "Innocent Human Life" Initiative (#14-0012) did not make the November 8, 2016 ballot as an initiated constitutional amendment.[1]

- "States that “innocent human life,” which is not defined, cannot be violated, terminated, defiled, or destroyed."

- Richard L. Board submitted a letter requesting a title and summary on December 21, 2014.
- A title and summary were issued by California's attorney general's office on February 17, 2015.
- 585,407 valid signatures would have been required for qualification purposes.
- Supporters did not meet the deadline on August 17, 2015 to collect the required signatures and the California Secretary of State declared the initiative failed on August 28, 2015.[1]
