Minnesota Compensation of Legislators, Amendment 3 (1881)

The Minnesota Compensation of Legislators Amendment, also known as Amendment 3, was on the November 8, 1881 ballot in Minnesota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have limited compensation for legislators to $5 per day, not to exceed $450 for each regular session, or not to exceed $200 for each special session.[1]
