A Detroit City Home Rule Charter Question was on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the city of Detroit which is in Wayne County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 16,110 (64.17%)Approveda
  • NO 8,994 (35.83%)[1]

This measure sought to allow the Home Rule charter proposed by the Revision Commission be approved in the city.[2] The amendment will require that City Council members be elected by districts and that candidates will have to live in the city at least a year before being eligible to run for office.[3]
