A McHenry High School District 156 Levy Increase measure was on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the McHenry high school district which is in McHenry County.

This measure was defeated

  • YES 4,145 (28.51%)
  • NO 10,392 (71.48%)Defeatedd[1]

This measure sought to add a tax of $.60 per $100 of assessed property in the area to the current property tax rate in order to help pay for programs and operational costs of the district. On average, homeowners in the area would have paid an additional $400 a year in taxes if this had been approved.[2]
