A Summit Township Property Tax Increase measure was on the August 3, 2010 ballot in the township of Summit which is in Jackson County.

This measure was approved

  • YES 2,621 (65.59%) Approveda
  • NO 1,375 (34.41%)[1]

This measure sought to increase the local property taxes by 1 mill, which will be on average $50 a year for local residents. The money will be used to keep services a operations running in the township. The township had been using its reserve funds so officials hoped this levy would pass to keep more funds in reserve.[2]
