Debra Bernes was a judge on the Georgia Court of Appeals. She took office on January 1, 2005.[1] Bernes passed away on July 20, 2010.[2]

Education

Debra Bernes graduated from the University of Florida in 1976. She went on to receive her law degree from Florida's Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1978. She is married and has two children.[1]

Career

Debra Bernes began her legal career in 1979. She worked as an assistant district attorney for the Cobb Judicial Circuit for 20 years. She entered private practice in 2000, handling a variety of cases in this capacity until her appointment to the Court of Appeal in 2005.[1]
