Ann Kirby was a 2014 judicial candidate for the North Carolina Court of Appeals in North Carolina.[1]

Kirby ran for election to the North Carolina Court of Appeals.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 4.1 percent of the vote. She competed against Marion R. Warren, Chuck Winfree, John Marsh Tyson, Elizabeth Davenport Scott, Tricia Shields, Jody Newsome, Marty Martin, Hunter Murphy, Keischa Lovelace, Abraham P. Jones, Sabra Jean Faires, Daniel Patrick Donahue, J. Brad Donovan, Lori G. Christian, Jeffrey M. Cook, Betsy Bunting, John S. Arrowood and Valerie Johnson Zachary. [1] 

Education

Kirby received her undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University in 1980. He earned his J.D. in 1985 from Campbell University School of Law.[2]

Career

Kirby is an assistant public defender in District 3A. She previously spent 18 years as an assistant district attorney, three years as an assistant public defender, two years as a senior staff attorney at the North Carolina Justice Academy, and one year in private practice.[2]
