I am a mother, community organizer, military veteran and person of faith running to ensure our city's growth matches the needs of our families and that everyday people once again have a say in the decisions of the second biggest city in the state.
  • Get tax dollars working for families in neighborhoods again not big business in new jails
  • Invest in mental health, childcare, and affordable housing so all of us can thrive
  • Make sure you have a say, in decisions that affect your life, no matter the color of your skin or where you live
Community Question Featured local question
The Covid pandemic showed a certain distance that exists locally between every day people as their government. As an organizer at the time, our efforts were crucial in establishing the first free Covid testing site on Southeast Fort Wayne, thereby bringing the first tool of resilience to a community that had previously been expected to go to the ER or hospital (a process, riddled with confusion and distance and limited access in The communities that make up the Southeast Side's experience) when they weren't feeling well.
Community Question Featured local question
Our campaign is currently engaging more voters on the doors and phones than any other city-wide campaign, has already registered 45 new voters, and plans to continue growing the electorate and chanted for residents to access and engage their government
Community Question Featured local question
Mine havs been one of the most formidable voices in the local issue facing our county and city of whether to build a new jail. I formed a coalition called Help not Handcuffs that became amicus to the lawsuit facing our current jail administration and county offices; on July 21 we successfully stopped the local income tax increase that would have gone toward paying for the jail. This is the power concerned citizens gave in writing a new story for their municipality.
Community Question Featured local question
It is a commitment of mine to bring a requirement for affected community members to be at the table when we are addressing issues and planning. If we are talking about homelessness, the homeless community should make up board members of the project; same thing for re-entry services, retired community members need ls and efforts to address the uninsured or underemployed. Those who have first-hand knowledge of the pressures of social and economic exclusion need to be prioritized in finding those solutions that will alleviate them.
Community Question Featured local question
We need to address mental illness and access to mental health as a public health concern, not a public safety concern
Equitable access to housing, food, health and De-Incarcerating Allen County and Indiana
Stacey Abrams, bold, visionary, truth telling, people centered
I remember coming home from school as a grade schooler and my mom being ecstatic that the Berlin Wall had come down.

Tom Hayhurst, Former City Councilman
John Shoaff, Former City Councilman at Large
