Three of the seven seats on the Jefferson County Public Schools Board of Education were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. In District 2, Chris Kolb defeated incumbent David Jones Jr. and James Fletcher to win the seat. The incumbent in District 4 did not run for re-election leaving Benjamin Gies to win the seat after defeating Keisha Allen. District 7 incumbent Chris Brady defeated Fritz Hollenbach , S. Scott Majors, and James Sexton to win re-election to his seat.[1]
