Fiscal responsibility, common sense, and making sure the people have a voice in the actions of our City Council.
Spending within our means, getting the most out of every dollar spent, and returning the voice of the people to the City Council.
The Founding Fathers of our nation, President Lincoln, President Kennedy, and President Regan.
Honesty, integrity, transparency, and being available to constituents.
When I worked in aircraft I was trained in efficiency and process improvement. I learned how to work within a large structured organization. In the years since I’ve taken all the courses Kansas Leadership Center offers to make myself a better leader and bridge builder.
Putting the constituents desires first. Too many people who get elected today focus on their personal agenda instead of representing the people.
I want to make Wichita an even better place than it already is. We are big enough to cater to a diverse community and provide a high quality of life with an affordable cost of living.
There were a number of my lifetime but the first one I took note of and which impacted me heavily at the time was the Challenger Disaster. I was 12, and was in the Young Astronauts Program of my school. We we excited to see the first Teacher in space and gathered before school to watch the launch live. To this day I can still feel the shock and sadness of seeing the Challenger explode on takeoff.
I grew up in Los Angeles and I was a motorcycle messenger after high school. I transported important documents for a variety of local companies. I did that for a couple years before I ended up moving back to Wichita where I was born to continue my education and eventually raise a family.
