Elizabeth Albiani is a member of the Elk Grove Unified Board of Education in California, representing Trustee Area 5. She assumed office in 2014. Her current term ends on December 4, 2026.

Albiani won re-election to the Elk Grove Unified Board of Education to represent Trustee Area 5 in California outright after the general election on November 8, 2022, was canceled.

Until she had her triplets, Albiani worked as an elementary school teacher in the Elk Grove Unified School District. She and her husband have four children, all of whom attend schools in the district.[1]

After retiring from teaching, Albiani served as treasurer and president of the PTA and as president of the school site council. She also volunteered with the district's GATE program, served on the district's finance committee and was recognized as an "Education Partner" in the Elk Grove Citizen in 2013. Albiani earned a bachelor's degree from California Polytechnic State University and her teaching credential at National University.[1]

Three seats on the Elk Grove Unified School District Board of Education were up for general election on November 4, 2014. No incumbent filed to run for re-election in Trustee Area 2, leaving the race to four candidates: Nicholas Aaron Webster, James Letoa, Tim Gorsulowsky and Crystal Martinez-Alire. Martinez-Alire won the seat. In Trustee Area 4, incumbent Bobbie Singh-Allen ran unopposed and won re-election by default. Elizabeth Marie Albiani, candidate for Trustee Area 5, also ran unopposed and won election to the board by default.

This election was canceled due to lack of opposition. Elizabeth Marie Albiani was elected to Trustee Area 5 by default.[2]

Funding

The Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections Office does not publish and freely disclose school board candidate campaign finance reports. Ballotpedia staffers directly requested this information, but the municipal office refused those requests to make that information public.[3]

Albiani received endorsements from Gary Davis, mayor of Elk Grove, several Elk Grove City Council members, former Elk Grove Unified Board of Education member Priscilla Cox and multiple Los Rios Community College board members.[4][5]
