Douglas Kmiec
Douglas Kmiec was a 2014 independent candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 26th Congressional District of California.[1]
Biography
Kmiec earned a B.A. from Northwestern University in 1973. He went on to receive a J.D. from the University of Southern California in 1976. He has worked in a number of positions as both an attorney and legal professor. Kmiec also served the U.S. Department of State as U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Malta.[2]
Elections
2014
Kmiec ran in the 2014 election for the U.S. House to represent California's 26th District. Kmiec was defeated in the blanket primary on June 3, 2014.[3]
