Larry Farber
Larry Farber was a candidate for the District 1 seat on the Elk River Area Board of Education in Minnesota. Farber was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014.
Biography
Larry Farber is a resident of Elk River, Minnesota. Farber has served as both a member of the Elk River City Council and as a Sherburne County Commissioner.[1]

The election in Elk River featured four seats up for general election on November 4, 2014. Incumbent Tony Walter and newcomer Jamie Plantenberg-Selbitschka ran unopposed for the two at-large seats. Fellow at-large incumbent Jolene Jorgensen did not file for re-election. Board member Shane Steinbrecher faced challenger Larry Farber for the District 1 seat, and District 2 incumbent Jane Bunting ran unopposed to retain her seat.

Funding
Elk River Area School District does not publish campaign finance reports for school board candidates. State law does not require campaign finance reporting if contributions or expenditures do not exceed $750 in a calendar year.[2]
