Kara Russo Young was a 2014 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. Senate from Rhode Island.[1] She withdrew from the race.[2]

Young then ran for election as Rhode Island Lieutenant Governor in 2014.[3] She lost in the primary.

Young ran for election to the office of Rhode Island Lieutenant Governor.[4] Young did not win the Republican nomination in the primary on September 9. The general election took place on November 4, 2014.

Young, formerly Kara Russo, ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Rhode Island's 2nd District. She sought the nomination on the Republican ticket. She faced Michael J. Gardiner, Michael G. Riley and Donald F. Robbio in the September 11, 2012, Republican primary. Riley won the election.
