I am a native Texan that is dedicated to serving his community. I believe in the core conservative values of Honesty, Integrity, and Accountability. Every elected official has a duty to communicate with and respect all their constituents and work to provide good governance that actually serves the people of their district.
  • Accountability to the voter is improtant for every elected official to keep them honest and serving the people.
  • Education is the key to individual success and self determination and for our success as a country.
  • We need additional attention to Fiscal Responsibility and getting our deficit spending and debts under control.
I believe in Honesty, Integrity, and Accountability in our elected officials. Poor performance in that area from our current congressman is what initially motivated me to run for office. There has to be an alternative choice to elected officials to allow voters to make their voices properly heard and I got in the race to provide that choice.

I am also motivated to promote a more robust education system in our country. State and local governments should have control over their education systems, but the federal government has a critical role in setting key national interest priorities for education and for providing funding to help level the playing field to provide a quality education to all children in the country.
I look up to my father for his good humor and his ability to stay calm during the trials and tribulations of raising four children and running his own small business.

I also have great respect for Nelson Mandela in his ability to be even handed and not seek revenge on the former ruling class of South Africa after he came to power. It must have been incredibly difficult to do that and keep the country together during the upheaval they were experiencing.
My organization and analysis skills are very useful but I balance them with the ability to understand and empathize with the difficulties that most people go through in their lives and how that affects what they want from their government and the values that they want our nation to stand for. We have the ability to stand up for our values and aspirations and still make smart and informed decisions for our country.
They have a responsibility to be available to their constituents to interact and get feedback from.
Representatives should represent the needs and desires of their constituents, but also use their good judgment to think in the longer term to best meet the needs of their district.
I want it to be said that I respected our constitution and our nation and left it more prosperous and secure by the work I did during my service in office.
My first job was working in my family business, which was a pharmacy in Brenham, TX. I worked there over several years during high school and college. I also worked as a part time dishwasher in a small restaurant, which was very educational and informative about life and people.
It has the ability to be a direct connection with the people of each district in the nation. It is the best direct voice that citizens have to affect their national government.
No I do not. It is not bad to have previous experience, but on the whole, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives is the best thing that a representative can do.
The greatest challenge will stem from our national debut and deficit spending. The amount of debt we continue to accumulate is going to put pressures on our government and the financial position of the country. We are going into uncharted territory with the level of debt and it could have very bad consequences.
I would bring valuable perspectives and experience to any of

-Science, space and Technology
-Transportation and Infrastructure

-Ways and Means
Yes it is the right term. It gives the House a responsive nature which balances with the longer term of Senators.
I am generally in favor of having Representatives have term limits after 12 years to allow new people and new ideas to flow into the House.
