Lisa Borgen
Lisa Borgen was a Minnesota Seventh Judicial District judge for Clay County, Minnesota. She was appointed to this position in 2006 and was elected in 2008 to a full term set to expire in January of 2015. However, she decided to step down on November 1, 2013 and return to private practice.[1][2]
Education
Borgen first graduated from the North Dakota State College of Science in 1982 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She received her B.A. degree from the Minnesota State University at Moorhead in 1993 and her J.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 1996.[1]
Career
Borgen began her legal career in 1997 as a solo practitioner and a contract attorney with the 7th Judicial District Public Defender's Office. She then became a Clay County Attorney in 1999, where she worked in this position until her judicial appointment in 2006.[1]
