What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) To re-focus our attention on the mission of educating our children.

2) to make wise spending decisions that allow us to reach our goals, but not over burden our taxpayers.
3) to inspire individuals of all ages to be life long learners.[2][3]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

As an teacher, I am personally passionate about education and inspiring individuals of all ages to be life long learners. I believe that education is the most powerful tool of the free world.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[3]

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

I would recommend The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens by Sean Covey, a book I currently read and discuss with my students. It is important for us to ""Begin with the end in mind"" as we strive to reach our goals..[3]
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
Integrity, transparency and the ability to make tough decisions are the most important characteristics for an elected official.[3]
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
My experience as an educator of 20 years, as a retired military officer and as a successful small business owner demonstrates that I am a woman of integrity, with the ability to make difficult decisions.[3]
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
I believe the core responsibilities are to make all decisions based on the goal of educating the children without over burdening the taxpayer.[3]
