I was going to jokingly say "have a soul" but I'm pretty sure that soulless ChatGPT AI could make more sensible & timely decisions than the literal liars & morons getting elected all the time. At least I'll have some humility & honest. Would that be refreshing America?
Congresspeople actually have very little to do. Their sole "responsibility" is to vote on the issues brought forth their chamber. They don't have to parade themselves in committees, they could hire the most qualified people & just listen to them. I doubt most of the current people are even writing their own legislation. And they can barely pass a budget to keep our government running?? Our representatives clearly feel no responsibility to us.
Best Case Scenario: At least one new paid holiday for everyone
Worst Case Scenario: Our government is about to get overthrown & stick it to them for America one last time.
It was the fall of my sophomore year in university. The following morning after the impossible had happened, the campus was silent. My cheeriest professors who expresses her emotions with her clothing, for the first & only time in my memory, wore all black. Tears to begin class that unforgettable Wednesday.

The first book I could not put down was "To Kill a Mockingbird" so I'll go with that. I also like the calvin & hobbes comics but those might not count.

They should not be allowed to change the decibel between a TV program & the commercial. If anything the commercial should be quieter. I get it's about brainwashing us to buy car insurance & generic viagra but I think we would be ok if they brainwashed us a little less loud.
unlike other countries with governments full of poor liars & morons, the U.S. House of Representatives is unique in it's composition of rich liars & morons
There are literal liars & morons being elected all the time we are way past this.
Internally: the psychological crisis between the people of this nation with each other.
Externally: the constant threat to democracy that can only be countered by examples of democracy actually doing things for the less fortunate & raising the standard of living for everyone around the world. Otherwise, WWIII
Term limits would be irrelevant if politicians did what they said & provided the people with the tools to help people make better choices for themselves & their communities. The institutions & people in power have no incentive to do so to keep us all in confusion & panic. I am excited to see truly what can be done in 2 years time & let the voters decide for themselves my effort & authenticity.
I'm not sure I have the proper complexion or physique to model anyone past or present. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still a pig or something.
No. It's MY joke & YOU can't have it!

But seriously this video gives me a good chuckle when I need one:

https://youtu.be/Hyph_DZa_GQ?si=l7RuSEPrJdNQ-lHz
Unless the Congress is willing to fundamentally change how bills are passed, the reality of the moment is compromise has been dead for quite some time. If the Congress is unwilling to act, we must continue to vote out incumbents until a new coalition can be formed to define compromise for this new era of Democracy.
House members want ~$30k/yr to pay for on the job expenses. When they are willing to give themselves a raise, provide subsidies to billion dollar industries, cut taxes for the wealthy ( which a majority of them are ), & do all that before providing for the working class, that should tell you all you need to know about who they are really care about.
To find all the tax cheats, audit the military, & keep our representatives in line with their duties
None of them. I want to make sure the people in charge of any committee is knowledgeable on the subject. Trust, Report, Verify, then Act.
Until they start making currency out of clear materials, most money is, in my view, typically opaque & hard to see through. Then there is the question of electronic money; You might see a number on a screen but what are you really looking at?
Thinking of all the weird things governments everywhere are willing to do to infringe on our human rights, I'm sure government has the tools to keep itself accountable without having to lie to the people or burden them further. So who is really gaining from things not changing?
