Michael Pinga
Michael Pinga (b. January 3, 1963) was a 2014 Independent candidate for District 9 of the Rhode Island State Senate.
He is a former Democratic member of the Rhode Island State Senate, representing District 9 from 2009 to 2013.
Biography
Pinga attended the Community College of Rhode Island. His professional experience includes working for Wescott Banking Company, Incorporated.[1]

2014
Elections for the Rhode Island State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election took place on September 9, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 25, 2014. Incumbent Adam J. Satchell defeated Debra Tocco in the Democratic primary. Thomas Jones withdrew from the race before the Democratic primary. Michael Pinga ran as an independent candidate. Satchell defeated Pinga in the general election.[2][3][4]

2010
Pinga was re-elected in District 9. He defeated independent William Anderson in the November 2 general election. He defeated Peter Calci, Jr. in the September 14 Democratic primary.[7][8]

2008
On November 4, 2008, Pinga was re-elected to the 9th District Seat in the Rhode Island State Senate. Pinga had no challenger.[9]
