Nick Espinoza was a candidate for the Trustee Area 1 seat on the Central Unified School District Board of Trustees in California. He ran against one incumbent and one fellow candidate in the general election on November 4, 2014.[1] Nick Espinoza lost the general election on November 4, 2014.

Four seats on the Central Unified School District Board of Trustees were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Board members from Trustee Areas 1, 2, 4 and 7 were up for re-election, and they all faced at least one challenger.
In Trustee Area 1, incumbent Phil Rusconi lost his bid for re-election against challengers Nick Espinoza and Cesar Granda, with Granda taking the seat. Trustee Area 2 incumbent Judith Geringer faced two challengers, Ruben Coronado and Julia Montoya Shields, and lost the election to Coronado. The Trustee Area 4 race featured incumbent George Wilson Jr. and challengers Richard Atkins and Becky Vanoni. Atkins won the election. In Trustee Area 7, incumbent Diana Milla lost her bid for re-election against Rama Dawar.

Funding
Espinoza filed Form 470 with the Fresno County Registrar of Voters, indicating he did not intend to raise or spend more than $1,000 for his 2014 campaign. Because of this, Espinoza did not have to file any additional campaign finance reports.[2]
