Four seats on the Central Unified School District Board of Trustees were up for general election on November 4, 2014. Board members from Trustee Areas 1, 2, 4 and 7 were up for re-election, and they all faced at least one challenger.
In Trustee Area 1, incumbent Phil Rusconi lost his bid for re-election against challengers Nick Espinoza and Cesar Granda, with Granda taking the seat. Trustee Area 2 incumbent Judith Geringer faced two challengers, Ruben Coronado and Julia Montoya Shields, and lost the election to Coronado. The Trustee Area 4 race featured incumbent George Wilson Jr. and challengers Richard Atkins and Becky Vanoni. Atkins won the election. In Trustee Area 7, incumbent Diana Milla lost her bid for re-election against Rama Dawar.

Funding
Vanoni filed Form 470 with the Fresno County Registrar of Voters, indicating she did not intend to raise or spend more than $1,000 for her 2014 campaign. Because of this, Vanoni did not have to file any additional campaign finance reports.[2]
