Rick Miller was a 2016 Democratic candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 12th Congressional District of North Carolina.[1] Miller was defeated by incumbent Alma Adams in the Democratic primary.[2]

Alma Adams (D) defeated Carla Cunningham, Gardenia Henley, Malcolm Graham, Rick Miller, and Tricia Cotham in the Democratic primary on June 7, 2016. Leon Threatt defeated Ryan Duffie and Paul Wright for the Republican nomination. The general election took place on November 8, 2016.[3]
