|My children attend the district and I am passionate on ensuring politics and political influence stays out of our schools and the focus is on education. Students should always come first!
I have successfully advocated for our children and our schools, including youth sports. I want to ensure parents retain decision-making power over their children’s education and have a voice on the board. I will represent all stakeholder interests, protect tax payer dollars and ensure funds are adequately allocated with an eye toward students first. I also want to ensure teachers are fairly compensated and have the support they need to focus on their role as educators.- Students first! Let’s keep politics out of schools and focus on education. The interests of students should always come first.
- Parental involvement: parents should be encouraged to be involved and I will fight to ensure we retain decision making authority over our children’s education.
- Academic excellence: we need to ensure resources to serve and empower every child—from those needing extra help to the high-achieving students who need to be challenged. We cannot afford to dumb down our curriculum to lift failing schools!
