I am a life-long New Mexican, small business owner, an advocate of children, and a proud parent of eight. Our family has fostered hundreds of children in the New Mexico foster care system over the past decade, including five who have become part of our forever family. My community volunteer experience includes being a founding member of the New Mexico Child First Network, a graduate of Rise New Mexico, a member of Davita Medical Group's Patient and Family Advisory Council, a participant of the New Mexico Big Brother, Big Sisters program, and both my husband Doug, and myself have been Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) with New Mexico Kids Matter serving Bernalillo County.
  • I will invest in our children
  • I will reduce crime and empower law enforcement
  • I will lower regulations and support working New Mexicans while attracting business to our state.
I'm a passionate advocate in my community for children. I helped found the New Mexico Child First Network, a training and support organization that serves and empowers foster children in state care and their parents. Through my hands-on service to New Mexico's most vulnerable population, I've seen firsthand the great need our state has for better quality mental health services and ample access to substance abuse treatment. If we increase the availability of good services and highly qualified professionals, the benefits will have a positive ripple effect that will reach into the areas of crime, education, the economy. I'm committed to doing everything I can to make these things happen for ourselves as well as future generations.

The House of Representatives was designed so that every district has an accurate representation that reflects the people of the district and their values. Being a neighbor, a friend, a product of the district is an ideal quality for a legislator and more important than being a politician.
I would love to be half the statesman Representative Larry Larrañaga was. He held the seat I am running for for 24 years. He was honest, he was kind, he treated everybody with the utmost respect and worked with everyone regardless of their party affiliation. Representative Larry Larrañaga fought hard for the best interest of the constituents he served. He loved New Mexico and it showed in everything he did. Representative Larry Larrañaga left behind a beautiful legacy that I would be honored to continue.
