John W. Howard III was a 2012 Republican candidate who sought election to the U.S. House to represent the 3rd Congressional District of Minnesota.

Howard earned his bachelor's degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from St. Olaf College in 2009. He has worked as a biologist for EVS, Inc. since May 2010. He also became a volunteer coordinator for the Twin Cities chapter of the Citizens Climate Lobby.[1]

Howard III ran in the 2012 election for the U.S. House to represent Minnesota's 3rd District. He was defeated by incumbent Erik Paulsen in the Republican primary.
