Justin Gargiulo is the founder and CEO of VoterTrove, a voter contact and volunteer management application, and founder and president of Align Media LLC, a digital media, management and strategy firm, both based in Austin, Texas. He has worked for Republican Party candidates and officials in Connecticut and Texas since 2000.
Career
Justin Gargiulo earned a B.A. in political science from the University of Rhode Island in 1998 before going on to earn an M.S. in e-media from Quinnipiac University in 2008.[1]
In 2000, Gargiulo became principal analyst for the Reapportionment Committee of the Connecticut General Assembly following the 2000 census. He worked in that position until December 2001 developing and analyzing proposals and meeting with Republican state senators to discuss redistricting proposals.[1]
From May 2002 to December 2007, Gargiulo worked as director of computer services for the Connecticut General Assembly in the Senate Minority Office. In that position, he developed an official state website, published video content for the Connecticut state government and designed an intranet. In 2008, he became director of multimedia services for the Senate Minority Office, where he worked with 12 state senators to develop multimedia content including email newsletters. He also produced multimedia content for former Governor of Connecticut Mary Jodi Rell (R).[1][2]
Gargiulo left Connecticut and the Senate Minority Office in 2010 to found Align Media LLC, a digital media, management and strategy firm based in Austin, Texas. In 2011, he helped the Republicans in the Connecticut State Senate with reapportionment following the 2010 census.[1][2]
In 2012, Gargiulo founded VoterTrove, an Austin, Texas-based voter contact and volunteer management application "to be offered exclusively to conservative campaigns and causes." Gargiulo and VoterTrove worked with Texas Senator John Cornyn (R) when he ran for re-election in 2014.[1][3][4]
