Catherine Nugent Panepinto
Catherine Nugent Panepinto is a judge of the New York Supreme Court 8th Judicial District. Her current term ends on January 1, 2039.
Panepinto (Democratic Party, Republican Party, Conservative Party, Working Families Party) ran for re-election for judge of the New York Supreme Court 8th Judicial District. She won in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Panepinto received her B.A. degree in English from the College of the Holy Cross in 1986 and her J.D. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1997. Aside from her legal career, she has worked as a Lead Organizer for the Amalgamated Clothing & Textile Workers' Union and as a volunteer for the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Alameda County Food Bank.[1]
Panepinto has worked as an assistant of Greer, Margolis, Mitchell, Burns & Associates and as a trial lawyer for Cantor, Lukasik, Dolce & Panepinto. She served as a confidential law clerk of the Supreme Court prior to her election to that court in 2010. She has also served as a member of the Buffalo Board of Education.[1][2]
