Britt M. Baca-Miller (Democratic Party) is a judge for Division XX of the New Mexico 2nd Judicial District Court. She assumed office on February 5, 2021. Her current term ends on January 1, 2027.
Baca-Miller (Democratic Party) ran in a special election for the Division XX judge of the New Mexico 2nd Judicial District Court. She won in the special general election on November 8, 2022.
She was appointed to the court in January 2021 by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham.
Biography
Education
Baca-Miller earned her bachelor's degree at Eastern New Mexico University and her J.D. at the University Of New Mexico School Of Law. She also holds a master's degree in public administration.[1]
Career
Prior to serving as a judge, Baca-Miller was a public defender for over seven years. She is a member of the New Mexico Women’s Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association. Baca-Miller has also served on the board of directors of the New Mexico Hispanic Bar Association.[1]
