Calvin Travers

Calvin Travers is the chief judge for the Orphans Court of Dorchester County in Dorchester County, Maryland.[1] He has served as a judge for the court since 1993 and as chief judge since 1994.[2] Travers was re-elected in 2014 for a term ending in 2018.[3][4]
Career
Travers has previously served as a Dorchester County commissioner, a Cambridge City councilman, and on the Dorchester Democratic State Central Committee.[5]

Primary: He was successful in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 48.8 percent of the vote. He competed against incumbent Judge Carolyn I. Todd. Both candidates ran unopposed in the primary.
General: He was unopposed in the general election on November 4, 2014. Two seats were up for election.

Travers was re-elected to the Orphans Court of Dorchester County with 47.67 percent of the vote in the general election on November 2, 2010.[3]
