Cureton was previously a judge of the North Carolina 26th Judicial District from 2011 to 2018.
Education
Cureton received his undergraduate degree from Winston-Salem State University in 2000 and his J.D. from the Howard University School of Law.[1][2]
Career
Before his election to the court in 2010, Cureton served as an assistant public defender for Mecklenburg County. He also worked as an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Bush and Powers, PA.[2][3][4]
