Harris Murphy
Harris Murphy is the county administrative judge of the Second Circuit Court for Kent County in Maryland. He was appointed by Gov. Larry Hogan (R) on August 24, 2017, to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Paul Bowman[1] Murphy took office on September 22, 2017.[2]
Biography
Murphy earned a bachelor's degree from Washington College and a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law.[1]
At the time of his appointment to the bench, Murphy was the state's attorney for Kent County. His professional experience also includes work as an assistant public defender for Kent County and Queen Anne's County, as a law clerk for Circuit Court Judges Edward DeWaters and J. Frederick Price, and as an attorney in private practice.[1]
